New Tokyo’s 10KTF NFT project is collaborating with Gucci in their latest NFT drop. The NFTs are crafted by 10KTF’s Wagmi-san, and designed by Alessandro Michele, Gucci’s creative director. According to the announcement, the Mint Pass redemption will launch on 14 March 2022. This mint pass is only available for users on the allowlist, and the allowlist verification is now closed.
According to Wagmi-san, owning a 10KTF Gucci Grail NFT qualifies owners for future drops, utility, and other unseen treasures. On the other hand, Gucci is surprising all Super Gucci NFT holders with a surprise in conjunction with this drop.
10KTF features unique 1 of 1 NFTs by world-renowned craftsman, Wagmi-san. He basically creates accessories for various parent NFTs. This also means that customers need to own NFTs from specific collections. The supported NFTs include BAYC, Cool Cats, Pudgy Penguin, and various others. Given the exclusive nature of 10KTF NFTs, a Gucci collaboration seems just about right.
Wagmi-san uses a purpose-built ERC 721 compatible smart contract to enable users to craft derivative NFTs from parent NFTs. This smart contract only allows the current owner of the parent NFT to create such a derivative. In addition, the contract only allows one accessory for each parent NFT.
Besides, 10KTF also makes blanks, which are essentially work-in-progress NFTs. Owners can then bring back these blanks when they have their parent NFTs in their respective wallets, turning them into finished products. Interested parties need to join their Discord or email them directly to get their own 1 of 1 NFTs.
