BAYC’s Augmented Reality Experience on Instagram
As of press time, neither Bad Decisions nor BAYC has released more details about the AR experience on Instagram. Even the studio’s official website and Twitter are keeping things close to the vest.
Good thing Bad Decisions’ portfolio and latest projects are available so we have a little preview of what they might do. Seeing their existing work just made the BAYC community even more excited. BAYC holder @thegodfarma tweeted, “Can’t wait to see it. Was checking out your website earlier. Your work looks very high quality.”
The BAYC AR filter is Bad Decisions’ second attempt to bring AR digital experiences to the social media site. Previously, Bad Decisions released an alien helmet AR filter. Last year, the platform recorded over 1.074 Billion active monthly users, according to Omnicore Agency. So this move will definitely push mainstream adoption of the BAYC franchise and help promote the upcoming iOs game and animated series.
Meanwhile, Mega Mutant Serum #69 sold for an unbelievable 1542 ETH or $5,859,000, smashing records for the highest sale from any BAYC collection! 10,000 Mutant Serum NFTs were airdropped to all Bored Ape NFT owners. The fact that collectors are willing to pay millions for something that others got for free proves that BAYC is a class of its own.
