An Aavegotchi Developer Grant launched this week for up-and-coming game designers. The idea is to help support the creation of new, innovative minigames for the Aavegotchi world. Effectively this means owners of the small pixelated ghosts will soon be able to use theirs in new and exciting ways.
Polygon Studios, Ivan on Tech, and Moralis Web are sponsoring the Aavegotchi grants for developers. Meanwhile, Aavegotchi masterminds Pixel Craft Studios are leading the initiative. The aim is to give something back to the community, offering others a chance to realise fresh ideas. It’s a logical move, too, considering Aavegotchi was once just another bold, outside-the-box concept that needed others to support it.
How Can You Get an Aavegotchi Developer Grant?
It’s the question on every aspiring developer’s lips. Basically, the Aavegotchi developer grant offers between a 500 and 5000 DAI to create a new minigame for the brand. However, it’s important to note that dApps are also eligible for financial assistance.

Anyone interested in getting involved should make a note of a few rules. Firstly, if you’re vying for the Aavegotchi developer grant, you must deliver functioning proof of concept for your creation. Crucially, this must be ready for the second season of Aavegotchi Rarity Farming.
For ecosystem developers, it will be necessary to show value to the Aavegotchi economy. In both cases, we recommend reading the official announcement to make sure you know how to qualify.
What Else is Coming From Aavegotchi
The Aavegotchi Developer Grant isn’t the only big news coming from the series. The first-ever land sale has been confirmed for October, with the roadmap also including a DAO event. Meanwhile, a fifth Aavegotchi raffle just finished, offering collectors exclusive ghostly ensembles.
