As November comes to an end, The Sandbox surprises its fans again with a new partnership, this time with Adidas. The iconic sportswear brand confirmed its Land purchase within the metaverse – but what should we expect?

Adidas and The Sandbox, a brand new collab
This week, Adidas made headlines with another NFT-related partnership. This time, the legendary metaverse The Sandbox tagged the shoemaker in a tweet, inviting the group to a collaboration. An additional link reveals a brand new 144-parcel space in The Sandbox – all owned by Adidas!
The multi-million shoemaker quickly replied with a potential name for the partnership: adiVerse. In addition, the company asked followers in a tweet about what they should build in The Sandbox.
Although none of the brands revealed any details on the upcoming launch, it’s definitely going to be a hit. The Sandbox is among the most popular metaverses to date, while Adidas is a record-breaking sportswear brand.

Adidas, embracing the NFT trend
This fall, Adidas has tapped into NFTs by announcing another promising partnership with Coinbase. The collaboration was announced in a short, but clear message, via Twitter:

However, the German company first stepped on the NFT scene by launching mysterious NFTs with its logo via POAP, a platform dedicated to crypto-badges linked to certain events. Surprisingly enough, these NFTs are no longer available, and there are still plenty of unanswered questions about the launch.
