Age of Rust players rejoice as they can now sign up for the first Syndicate NFTs giveaway. Although Steam banned the game, the participants’ list is growing quickly – but how can you get a Syndicate NFT after all?
Syndicate NFTs: How (and why) you should own one
Syndicate NFTs are the latest digital collectibles available within the Age of Rust ecosystem. Each Friday, one lucky winner can receive this prize, and use (or trade) it for the game.
In order to join the giveaway, players must first own 1031 Rustbits, which means $114 (at the time of writing). What’s more, the game also requires an Age of Rust MFT, currently priced at $389.
Since the game NFTs are on Enjin’s Jumpnet, you should pay for the MFT and 1031 Rustbits in ENJ.
Surprisingly, this exciting giveaway comes shortly after Age of Rust has been banned by Steam. It’s nothing personal, though – Steam has banned all NFT-powered games earlier this month. As a result, SpacePirate Games is now negotiating with Epic Game Store, which will happily welcome blockchain games from now on.
What is Age of Rust?
Age of Rust is a single-player blockchain game with a sci-fi setting. In essence, this adventure allows players to explore ruins, abandoned spaceships, and other mysterious places from outer space.
The game is still in beta, but you can give it a try for free via Steam (for now). All you need is to connect your Enjin wallet and own an Age of Rust token. Note that some in-game puzzles and missions only work for certain tokens; you can either find these within the ecosystem or buy them on secondary marketplaces like OpenSea.
In summary, Age of Rust is a promising game that has already attracted many players so far thanks to its giveaway. As for who they’ll team up once Steam bans the game, only time will tell!
