As the year comes to an end, Hong-Kong based Animoca Brands’ latest report is nothing less than spectacular. The giant NFT-focused company has surpassed a total value of $15.9 billion in digital assets – and this might be just the beginning!
Animoca Brands, conquering the metaverse
This week, Animoca Brands’ co-founder Yat Siu has revealed the company’s latest progress in the NFT sector. Impressively, The Sandbox owner reported a five-fold increase in the value of its digital assets in just two months, amassing over $15.9 billion.
In addition, the monthly trading volume of its main tokens REVV and SAND has surpassed $10 billion this month. By comparison, last year’s monthly trade volume was barely reaching $245 million (which was obviously still impressive!).
In summary, the total trade volume for all of Animoca Brands’ projects is $3 billion per day. Of course, the tech giant has been investing in some of the most successful projects of the year. Among the most popular names, there are NBA Top Shot creators Dapper Labs, OpenSea, and Alien Worlds. Meanwhile, its subsidiaries have also reported outstanding growth, including Gamee, Pixowl, Lympho, and Quid.
Nevertheless, the most successful metaverse project launched under the Animoca Brands umbrella is The Sandbox.
Will the growth continue in 2022?
Considering Animoca ™️ s’ record-breaking growth reported, the giant company will continue to break boundaries well into 2022. In fact, we might say the same about the entire NFT market, which has never received more support from mainstream brands than it does today.
“The continuing adoption of blockchain applications into the mainstream and the stunning growth in trade of NFTs are very encouraging indicators not just for Animoca Brands but for the entire movement supporting the open metaverse,” agrees Siu.
