For weeks, the NFT community has been speculating that Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs will be one of the highlights at this year’s Super Bowl Show. Until today, evidence supporting this has resurfaced from various sources. Unfortunately, it looks like the Super Bowl Show is not pushing through.
Rain Check on The Bored Ape Super Bow Show?
BAYC co-founder @CryptoGarga firmly said that “the Super Bowl speculation is getting out of hand.” He also shared that, like everyone else, he just heard from the grapevine that some community members were trying to do something cool. Unfortunately, “it sounds like it fell through.”
This statement confirms that whatever was brewing, it was not an official BAYC initiative. Secondly, he addressed the stills that have been circulating online. Apparently, “it’s for something else” that they have been cooking up for a long time.
Surprisingly, some BAYC holders remain unfazed and think that this is just a diversion. The ultimate surprise would be Bored Ape NFTs on the big screen using CGI technology with the whole world watching.
To be fair, the evidence suggesting that the Bored Ape Super Bowl show is pushing through has been overwhelming. Of the stars set to perform this year, both Snoop Dogg and Eminem are known BAYC holders. Then, early this year, @PuffYatty tweeted that an anonymous friend is involved in a Super Bowl project, including the Bored Ape Yacht Club.
With this, we’d have to tune in on February 13 to see if Bored Apes will take center stage when the Cincinnati Bengals take on the Los Angeles Rams!
