After a long wait, we finally have some news about the upcoming Coinbase NFT Marketplace. Coinbase first revealed its plans to join the NFT space back in October. The announcement spread like wildfire in the NFT community, with many excited to see how the platform looks.
Since the announcement, Coinbase has partnered with several leading NFT collections. These include Doodles, CryptoPunks, Cool Cats, Bored Apes, CryptoKitties, Lazy Lions and Adidas.
However, there was no confirmation of a timeline for the launch until two days ago. Now, it looks like it may be just around the corner.
Significantly, Coinbase has confirmed that it is working behind the scenes to launch the NFT marketplace. In a tweet to their 389,000 followers, they said, “Wen Coinbase NFT? Soon. We recently met with 100+ creators, and we’re continuing to build the product based on community feedback. We appreciate your patience and can’t wait to show you what we’re cooking up.”
This latest news is undoubtedly exciting, and the fact they are collaborating with over 100 creators and listening to feedback is reassuring. Coinbase is the second biggest cryptocurrency trading platform globally, with over $2 billion daily volume. There is currently a waiting list on the official Coinbase website for those hoping to get early entry to the marketplace.
