Doodles and Behr Paint are adding cool colors to this year’s SXSW festival. From March 12 through 14, the duo is painting the Austin event with iconic pastel colors. Behr’s new paint products have given life to the cute drawings that characterize Doodle NFTs.
The trusted company is now offering three new pastel paints. One color is the Upbeat P300-5, a kind of yellow that’s nice to the eyes. Another is Lavender Sky P540-4, which is like a mix of light lavender and sky blue. Finally, they’ve created Periwinkle P530-4, a light shade of blue.
SXSW guests are enjoying these pastel-colored paints through a metaverse-inspired experience. During the event, Behr is letting the guests try the paints using virtual technology.
Moreover, Behr is now offering its first NFT to visitors. Their new paint cans include QR codes on the backside. When guests “scan to mint,” they can claim the first-ever Doodles POAP.
POAP stands for Proof of Attendance Protocol. It’s an NFT badge that’s unique. That means you need to be at the event to get a certain POAP.
NFT Community Recognizes Doodles as a Blue Chip
A Doodle NFT currently costs at least about 11 ETH on OpenSea. At press time, that’s around $29,000. Plus, according to OpenSea, Doodles already has a 90-day trading volume of 60,304 ETH.
Part of Doodles’ success traces back to its celebrity supporters. For example, Gary Vee himself has bought a Doodle #7020. Reportedly, it cost him 23.33 ETH (around $60,000 as of this writing).
With the Behr collab, it appears fans are loving Doodles even more. It’s a salute to Doodles’ already “blue-chip status.”
DIYers Have Always Loved Behr Paint
For over 50 years, customers have already enjoyed Behr’s quality paints and stains. Their collab with Doodles received a happy welcome from hundreds of Twitter users.
Andy Lopez, Behr’s VP for Brand Marketing, says they wanted to reach DIYers. The company believes partnering with Doodles is an innovative way to do just that. Interestingly, Gary Vee’s VaynerNFT claims they’ve helped Doodles and Behr to collab.
