Blockchain-based game Chainmonsters’ native NFT marketplace has gone live on the Flow blockchain. With this, players can now buy, trade, and sell their NFTs on the marketplace.
Furthermore, the game developer B-Side Games, in a blog, noted that they are “migrating to full custodial wallets.” This means that those who have been playing the game will have to migrate their NFTs from in-game wallets to external accounts.
Wallet migration to use Chainmonsters NFT Marketplace
In order to have complete access to the NFT marketplace, it is essential for users to migrate their wallets.
“As we believe in a true dezentralized future it is very important that you are able to control your NFTs and valuable items at any time,” the developer wrote.
For this, B-Side Games has partnered with Blocto wallet, a broadly used, full custodial wallet, on Flow. According to the developer, with the Blocto wallet, players can easily create a wallet and connect it to the Chainmonsters account.
The wallet can be used on every mobile phone and offers a token swap feature. Moreover, players who don’t have alpha access to the game, but own a Blocto wallet, can access the marketplace. At the time of writing, the marketplace had registered a total of 96 sales, amounting to $1,520.25.
Furthermore, the Alpha-6 update, the final update to the alpha testing phase, is slated to release this month. It is important for players to connect their accounts to the wallet because otherwise, they can’t access the update.
Alpha-6 launching soon
Chainmonsters’ Alpha-6 update is termed as the ‘biggest and best game update yet’. The update will give rise to a new game world, with added features. The current game world will not exist anymore, and the players will start in a small southern village.
Another significant change coming in the next update is the ability to catch Chainmons. Similar to Pokémon gameplay, with this update, players will be apple to catch wild Chainmons with their Replicator device. If they succeed in catching it, a level 5 version of the Chainmon will be theirs!
A massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), Chainmonsters is the Flow blockchain’s first-ever game. Each player in the game is working for a corporation and has to compete with each other.
In order to play, gamers have to acquire small monsters that belong to different elements. These elements—a total of nine—include air, pyro, nature, and crystal. Other elements are hydro, electro, cryo, and geo.
Every single asset in the game is an NFT. This not only includes Chainmons but also Accessories, Items, Outfits, Taunts and more. There are also time-limited rewards, like the exclusive Kickstarter Outfit, that exists only for a certain time.
The game has already amassed a good fan following. Early this month, the number of registered players had crossed 20,000. The number is bound to grow with the upcoming update.
