Budweiser is officially entering the GameFi space through Zed Run, the metaverse horse racing game. The iconic beer brand continues to make moves in the Web3 community, appealing to an entirely new market. Read on to find out more about this strategic partnership.
What does the partnership include?
Fresh off a recent partnership with NBA legend Dwayne Wade, Budweiser strikes again with their next Budverse 2022 milestone. This time, the brewing company introduces their beautiful Clydesdale horses to the metaverse.
Just so you know, the Budweiser Clydesdales are a group of Clydesdale horses used for promotions and commercials. These elegant creatures are now resting at Warm Springs Ranch, in the heart of Missouri.
On 9 June 2022, Budweiser and Zed Run will release 2,500 Budweiser Pass NFTs, unlocking a variety of exclusive utilities, airdrops, and chances to win IRL giveaway experiences. These passes will carry a $225 price tag, plus a flat gas fee.
The first release is at 6 pm EST, starting with a 24-hour early access window. To be eligible for early access, participants need to hold Budverse Heritage Cans and a Genesis racehorse, or a NASCAR ZED RUN pass.
Budweiser x Zed Run roadmap
On the day of the launch, the Budweiser Racetrack will make its debut in Zed Run. This venue will host many major racing activations and become a staple in the digital horse racing game.
Fast forward to July 2022, Budweiser Pass holders will receive a ZED RUN racehorse skin from one of three rarity tiers. The Gold, Budweiser Bottle, and Clydesdale skins will be distributed randomly.
There will also be several challenges and tournaments with up to $95,000 in prizes. They will start in July and end with the big tournament in December.
Lastly, all pass holders will receive an exclusive Budweiser x ZED RUN Decentraland t-shirt wearable. Just in case their avatars get jealous of all the attention the horses are getting.
The Budverse Roadmap 2022 seems to be on schedule so far. We can’t wait to see the rest of the milestones in the second half of 2022. Stay tuned!
