Candy Digital and Major League Baseball Team Up for the Third Time
Candy Digital is partnering with Major League Baseball (MLB), the MLB Players Association, and the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. Markedly, this is the third year in a row that this exciting collaboration has taken place to commemorate All-Star Week.
“We couldn’t be more excited to build on our successes of the previous MLB season by introducing a series of innovative new products and engagements. Day by day, digital collectibles are becoming more immersed in America’s most cherished pastime and we’re thrilled to be paving the way with our partners,” said Scott Lawin, CEO of Candy Digital.
Moreover, the company will create exclusive packs of NFTs throughout the season. Each pack will celebrate individual players, top plays, and historic moments. These will be from current games as well as iconic moments of basball history. Additionally, the partnership with the National Baseball Hall of Fame will provide fans with the opportunity to collect historical highlights. These will feature iconic players such as Ken Griffey Jr, Johnny Bench, Tom Seaver, and George Brett. Candy Digital will also offer Milestone Marks. Significantly, this is a real-time product that celebrates the biggest achievements and record-breaking moments throughout the game.
Play Ball and Join the Digital Collectible Fun!
Candy Digital launched the MLB Virtual Ballpark last week. Markedly, this is the league’s metaverse. The digital collectibles platform also provided an online watch party for fans to view the MLB All-Star Celebrity Softball Game together. Even more excitingly, Candy Digital created a commemorative digital ticket for all attendees. Plus, all fans who bought tickets using Mastercard to attend the 2023 MLB All-Star Game will also be able to redeem a commemorative digital ticket.
Furthermore, Candy Digital is providing all fans with the opportunity to mint a 3D MLB All-Star collectible baseball. This is up for grabs for free until July 31st. After minting, holders of the collectible will be eligible to win two tickets to the 2023 World Series. Last year, nearly 200,000 collectible tickets were redeemed by fans who attended games.
