MetaWars is the newest addition to the play-to-earn block. The gameplay action invites players to join a highly immersive multiplayer and roleplaying game set in space. The catch? You can choose your own path using a vast collection of NFTs and impact major events across the galaxy. The game challenges its players to “earn their share of the vast fortunes” as battle rages and governments fall in the MeWars universe.
Understanding The Gameplay
The MetaWars game has a futuristic sci-fi theme in a multi-layered, critical tactic battlefield from which users can earn. Basically, players get to imagine themselves in realistic space exploration with resources they can conserve and use. While exploring, users get to unlock mysteries, discover different galaxies, and protect their valuables from enemies. All these challenges allow players to the play-to-earn, stake, and collect NFTs. They can then monetize these digital collectibles to earn profits.
As a player, your main goal is to cooperate with various game commanders to “reshape the galaxy in missions.” The play-to-earn gaming ecosystem would allow players to have fun while earning NFTs and collecting limited edition robots through various auctions.
How to Start Playing MetaWars
The first aspect of the game is all about exploration. This means that players should focus on discovering galaxies, unveiling mysteries and defending valuables against enemies. Since this is a strategy game, dangerous areas are scattered around the game’s universe and require some serious talent in order to come out alive. If you survive, you’ll be rewarded with NFT collectibles and coins that you can use to acquire $WARS, the in-game token.
Then, you can move on to Part 2, aka developing your team, which will unlock the NFT Auction and lottery as well as the NFT Marketplace. Players can expand their private ship fleet from a virtually endless variety of ships. This segment involves navigating through unique ship classes and optimization options in order to build a “perfect” fleet. To succeed in this segment, players would have to strategically combine modules, weapons, and devices to fit their playstyle.
The Battle segment completes this triumvirate. According to the pitch deck, the stakes are high because “you only have one life to live.” The website proceeds to narrate, “You play as one of the surviving clone pilots trying to make a living under a false identity. Of course, fate has bigger plans for you. Soon you find yourself in the middle of a grand story, discovering what it means to be human.” This final segment activates the Planet (PVP) Battle that awards $WARS tokens as a reward to the winners. Then, missions (PVE) which are necessary to upgrade strength, rank and reward rations.
Roadmap
According to the MetaWars roadmap, Q3 2021 was designated for planning and preparation, including developing the game, verifying ideas, and linking with advisors. In Q4 2021, MetaWars plans to announce its Dapps launch, IDO listings, staking, and NFT auction. As for Q1 2022, the company intends to release additional elements and properties of the game’s warriors with a new NFT Marketplace and PVE platform. Finally, in Q2 2022, MetaWars will explore both unity and PVP gameplay.
With Axie Infinity crossing over the $2 Billion NFT Sales mark, all questions about the mighty combination of gaming, NFTs and play-to-earn are now moot.
