Female celebrities are flocking to the NFT space, thanks to the World of Women NFTs. These include A-list celebrities like Eva Longoria and Reese Witherspoon. In turn, these celebrities are becoming NFT advocates and encouraging more women to join the NFT community.
Why is the World of Women NFT collection so special?
First things first – World of Women is a collection of 10,000 NFTs that represent a range of unique, cool and diverse women, illustrated by Yam Karkai. These NFTs are living on the Ethereum blockchain as ERC-721 tokens and hosted on IPFS.
Another key point is that the creators will give 50% of royalties on any profit they might generate from commercial use to the World of Women NFT owners. They’ll also donate 2.5% of all primary sales to charity.
What’s more – owning a WoW NFT makes you eligible to put your name in the hat for 100 signed framed prints. Additionally, by owning a WoW NFT, you’ll be able to unlock its super high resolution 4000×4000 version. Best of all, World of Women is about empowering women through art, promoting diversity and creating a community of like-minded individuals.
Who’s aping in?
Eva Longoria was quick to show off her NFT by tweeting: “Female-led project with purpose and meaning?! No brainer for my first purchase! @worldofwomennft“. Fellow A-lister Reese Witherspoon joined Eva Longoria in becoming a World of Women NFT owner. Other celebrities who aped in include Olympic gold medalist Napheesa Collier and Grey’s Anatomy showrunner Shonda Rhimes.
World of Women is quickly building a reputation as the NFT collection to watch. In fact, it recently expanded its brand with the launch of its Galaxy of Women ARG. Safe to say this collection is hitting all the right notes!
