A Chinese sportswear and equipment company founded by Olympic champion Li Ning has licensed a Bored Ape NFT. The brand will now release its latest products featuring BAYC #4102.
Chinese Sports Brand Li Ning Features Bored Ape NFT in Merch
According to a post on Li Ning’s official Weibo account, “We invited Bored Ape Yacht Club, a famous family from Web3.0, number#4102 BAYC, as the fashion store manager of the Li Ning pop-up store.”
Li Ning’s official WeChat account said that it will feature the BAYC NFT avatar in a Beijing pop-up store on April 28. Basically, Li Ning will create a new series of products based on the #4102 design.
While many Chinese brands and artists have dived into NFTs like XTEP, TaMen, and Qi Baishi. Li Ning is the first one in the Chinese NFT market to feature the BAYC image. Through this move, Li Ning will continue to spark curiosity about NFTs. Hopefully, bridging the gap between Web2.0 and Web3.0. in the NFT-restrictive country.
Brands Continue to Take Advantage of BAYC Commercial License
One of the benefits of holding a BAYC is the benefits that come with the NFT. For instance, its commercial license. Many have seen it as an opportunity to collaborate or establish a brand connected to the famous blue-chip NFT.
