It’s official: the high-end global Nikkei dining venue Chotto Matte will launch its debut NFT! Accordingly, the collectible chip card will drop at the same time as the 2022 Bitcoin Miami conference (April 5th).
Besides its outstanding design, the NFT will offer impressive real-life perks. From VIP distillery access to Japanese-Peruvian Chotto Matte restaurant invitations, the $1M digital asset is full of surprises.
Chotto Matte NFTs
Next month, the high-end restaurant chain Chotto Matte drops its first collectible, called “The Founder”. In fact, the NFT comes as a digital wallet that includes exclusive perks for its holder. The most notable ones are:
- invitations to the new restaurant opening;
- first-class flights and accommodation for the official openings;
- VIP access to a premium distillery and vineyard visit;
- New Year’s Eve dinner for six at any location worldwide;
- an experience at home with the restaurant’s Executive Chef.
In addition, the NFT also comes with tickets for two at one of the major sports events of 2022, including FIFA, boxing, and F1 races.
The lucky NFT holder can view all of the perks by accessing their unique Chotto Matte digital wallet. Once they pick a perk, the team will reach out to set up all of the details.
Accordingly, “The Founder” NFT will drop at midnight between April 4th and April 5th.
In order to celebrate the launch, the brand will host a grand event too. There, collectors with Industry or Whale passes will gain access to top Nikkei dishes. What’s more, the brand will also offer a “Bitcoin-inspired cocktail” made with Hakushu 12-year-old Japanese whisky and a flammable dollar bill revealing a BTC coin.
Notably, attendees can only use Bitcoin for these experiences. You can join the event by making a reservation at the Chotto Matte Miami Beach on April 5th starting at 5 p.m.
The hospitality NFT niche is growing
Recently, we’ve seen plenty of hospitality industry locations welcome NFTs. For example, the New-York based coffee shop Lion’s Milk started displaying NFTs on its walls. Meanwhile, the Mexican-themed restaurant chain Bodega Taqueria y Tequila is accepting crypto payments in all of their locations!
Of course, giant companies such as Marriott tapped into NFTs months ago too. The luxury hotel chain’s program Marriott Bonvoy dropped its own collectibles during Miami Beach Art Basel. Now, the Chotto Matte restaurant chain is ready to embrace the trend too.
“Innovation is a pillar of our brand; from the menu to design, we always aim to push the boundaries,” says Kurt Zdesar, CEO at Chotto Matte. “After great successes in the US, Europe and Canada, the crypto space is another market I want to explore. It’s the future and there is so much yet to be done!”
