Christofle, a company run by UAE-based Chalhoub will enter the metaverse with its first NFT collection titled “925 Genesis MOOD” on May 7th. It will solely drop on the Exclusible platform, with a pre-sale at 5.30 PM UTC and a public sale at 6 PM.
The NFT Collection
The NFT which will be created by Christofle refers to an imaginary city named ‘Christofle Aurifaber Citatis’ in Latin. It translates to ‘The City of Christofle Silversmithing’ in English. The company’s CEO, Emilie Metge said. “We are eager to join the era of the Metaverse with this new first NFT collection. In line with our brand values of audacity, elegance, excellence, and inclusiveness, with a bold and modern approach. We are translating our craftsmanship into the new wave of the web, that is all about community and ownership.”
The collection was also inspired by MOOD by Christofle, which was launched in 2015. It is one of the tableware company’s best sellers.
The NFTs will mint for 0.1 ETH on the Exclusible platform on Saturday, May 7th. Interestingly, NFT holders will gain access to exclusive benefits.
This NFT collection cements the aim to engage buyers in this new era by building long-lasting relationships with them.
Christofle is a goldsmith and tableware company that was founded in Paris in 1830 by Charles Christofle. The company is best known for bringing silver plating to France in 1842. In 2012, it was purchased outright by one of its shareholders, the Chalhoub family, who have owned the firm since.
