The Cool Cats NFT project just announced its partnership with The Sandbox! Through a tweet, the Cool Cats team revealed to their 200,000+ followers that they are working on bringing Cool Cats to The Sandbox metaverse platform.

What Do We Know About Cool Cats x The Sandbox?
Cool Cats has been teasing 3D, pixelated items for the last few weeks. Yesterday, they confirmed the speculation of their community.
The announcement post said “You guessed it! We have finalized conversations with @TheSandboxGame to bring your Cool Cats into their metaverse in early Q4. Stay tuned for all the fun opportunities this integration will bring our holders!”
As of writing, there are limited details of the partnership. We can only expect to see the 3D Cool Cats avatars as early as October 2022. But surely, the NFT project will share more information about their collaboration with The Sandbox over time.
Additionally, most of the community responded positively to the announcement. Yet, some want some revisions on the 3D Cool Cats avatar based on the teaser’s poster as they imagined it to be more squishy and cute.
Twitter user @onenftboi replied to the post and said “Can they be shorter and fatter? Never thought my cats were 6-foot-tall guys.”
Cool Cats: A Brief History of the NFT Project
Cool Cats is a collection of programmatically random-generated NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain. The first generation consists of 9,999 randomly assembled Cats from over 300,000 total options. Each NFT has a variety of outfits, bodies, faces, and colors.
The NFT project has continuously built on its ecosystem since its launch on July 1, 2021. It has achieved a blue-chip NFT reputation, and it’s almost on par with the biggest NFT collections such as Bored Ape Yacht Club.
Furthermore, the NFT project is also one of the celebrity favorites. Among its biggest holders include Steve Aoki, Mike Tyson, and Reese Witherspoon.

Aside from its primary collection, it has also released many secondary collections. These include Cool Pets and their Halloween NFTs. In addition, it has also released Cooltopia, a gamified ecosystem built on interactivity and utility.
Cool Cats also has several collaborations including Time Magazine and a merch partnership with Toikido.
Two months ago, Chris Hassett stepped down as its CEO and the team behind Cool Cats is working with a top recruitment firm to find the next world-class CEO for the project.
Lastly, Cool Cats just recently hired their new New Vice President Of Community, Sian Morson, who is one of the most respected voices in the Web3 and NFT space.
Final Thoughts
Cool Cats has shown its capabilities in the NFT space and this collaboration with The Sandbox might well add more value to the collection. Additionally, it will bring more utilities for its holders. Aside from joining the largest metaverse platform, we can’t wait to know what the NFT project has in store in the future.
