Cryptoblades is the newest RPG in the space with tokenized weapons as NFTs. The game adapts play-to-earn awarding players its in-game currency $SKILL. These tokens are locked in the liquidity pool so it has value and can be used for staking.
Cryptoblades NFTs turns players into blacksmiths
Players get $SKILL token when they win fights. As the in-game currency of Cryptoblades, it is needed to create characters and craft weapons. These weapons are tokenized NFTs that can be traded with other players in the open marketplace.
Generating NFTs is tied to the gaming experience with players doubling as blacksmiths. For example, if the player acquires a sword from winning a raid, it can be forged with the other weapons in his arsenal to form another sword which is tokenized as an NFT.
The game runs on the Binance Smart Chain so the fees are not free but lower than ETH. So basically, you’ll be paying for reasonable gas fees corresponding to your game transactions.
Play-to-Earn is becoming the gold standard
Cryptobladess is also adapting the play-to-earn movement instead of the traditional play-to-win, as with most of the early access games. In the past, the goal in playing a game is just to win but now it requires more than that to hook players. Earning from playing is becoming a standard. Established game developers like Vorto Network are also shifting to play-to-earn following the success of Axie Infinity. This is not surprising since crypto and NFTs are gaining ground and extending its use cases.
