DeadHeads is an NFT Collectibles project with 10,000 characters described as “morbid degens set to disrupt the boring land of the living.” One thing that sets it apart from other NFT projects is that it has its own NFT animated series, which immortalizes the collection.
Unraveling DeadHeads Collectibles Animated Series
Since this is a community-driven entertainment project, being an NFT holder and owning a 1/1 DeadHeads character technically makes you an author of the animated series. The project gives the power to the community to cast votes and decide major plot points. Then, the storyline approved by the community will be used as the basis for the script.
The highly anticipated Season 1 Episode 1 of DeadHeads is officially out. As promised, holders, creators and contributors own all the NFT characters featured in the episode. Moreover, the producers, actors, writers are all part of the community. This is DeadHeads’ first step towards becoming a multimedia universe that holders can get to own a part of.
The project promises to be the gateway to the NFT underworld, so it is building the first metaverse graveyard on Decentraland. So if you “wanna party up in hell,” you can check out the team’s progress on Plot 9999. For now, a theatre is installed, accessible only for DH holders.
Season 1 Episode 1 and Comparing it to Stoner Cats
Naturally, the project is being compared to Mila Kunis’ Stoner Cats NFT Series. According to the DeadHeads team, the key difference is the distribution approach between the two projects. That is, only owners of a Stoner Cat NFT can watch the animated series. However, Deadheads are taking a different approach and making the show accessible to the world. So it will give exclusive perks to NFT holders instead.
The DeadHeads Roadmap: Becoming Top NFT Collectibles
So far, DeadHeads has been doing an excellent job crossing out the items on its roadmap. During the launch, it promised to involve and feature the community members. We saw how the pilot brought together many talented professionals within the DeadHeads universe.
As promised, it also launched an exclusive Merch Drop for its NFT Holder. The project airdropped 200 Authentic Homme Bomber Jackets to its NFT holders. The retail price of a physical Homme bomber jacket is between $180 – $250, so the community was ecstatic over this exclusive perk.
The project also successfully transitioned to physical collectibles. The project released intricately designed, real-life DeadHeads 3D models complete with the base and gravestone. As a bonus, everyone who owns a DH has access to its 3D file. This means that they can 3D print it in any way they want.
DeadHeads is also sweeping in with exciting partnerships. A few days ago, we reported that it is entering a first-of-its-kind blockchain domain partnership featuring the.NFT domains of Unstoppable Domains. With this collaboration, they are allowing NFT holders to create custom DeadHeads themed NFT Galleries.
So what’s next in the DeadHeads world? According to the website, there are tons of derivatives underway and NFT holders can look forward to never before seen drops. Of course, more episodes will be released for all DH underworld fans.
