Grease Monkey Games, the company behind the REVV motorsport ecosystem, is getting a huge ‘Epic MegaGrant’ from Epic Games, one of the biggest video game companies in the world. The grant will go towards developing the highly anticipated Torque Drift 2 game, due for full release in 2024.

The grant programme by Epic Games was first launched in 2019. Basically, it helps develop and accelerate innovative projects built using the Epic Games Unreal Engine.
In addition, projects that can help the open source 3D graphics ecosystem are also eligible. The amount of EpicMega Grant recipients is vast, spanning over 89 countries.
Grease Monkey Games will now use the EpicMega Grant to aid the development of exciting new drift physics in Torque Drift 2. Furthermore, it will allow the company, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, to create a truly immersive and real motorsport game.

The Australian video game studio, Grease Monkey Games, has been working hard on Torque Drift 2 for some time. The upcoming blockchain-enabled motorsport game is set for release in 2024.
However, the game will have continuous releases, with an interactive tuning garage coming in Q3 2022. Additionally, the team will use feedback from players online to ensure the game is as great as possible.
The game aims to lead the next generation of motorsports games, using playable NFTs and blockchain technology to provide a unique racing experience.
