It’s official: global beauty brand Estée Lauder joins the NFT space this month via Decentraland! The renowned company will drop its debut NFT as part of the Metaverse Fashion Week.
In fact, 10,000 lucky attendees will receive one exclusive wearable NFT!
Estée Lauder x Decentraland: what you should know
Estée Lauder is the latest name confirmed to attend Decentraland’s Fashion Week. The event will take place between March 24th to March 27th. Of course, the beauty giant is planning a big entrance on the NFT scene, as it does IRL.
Accordingly, Estée Lauder will offer 10,000 NFTs to Decentraland’s event attendees. The digital assets represent one of the brand’s top beauty products, the Advanced Night Repair serum.
In order to get the wearable NFTs, users will have to send their digital avatars inside the product’s brown apothecary bottle. As a result, users will benefit from a new, radiant look.
This innovative NFT is without a doubt a historical breakthrough for the beauty industry. According to Estée Lauder Group President Stéphane de La Faverie, the Decentraland drop “marks a pivotal point for Estée Lauder in how we reach and engage new and existing customers in the Metaverse.”
More famous brands join Decentraland
Estée Lauder is making its NFT debut via Decentraland – and that says something. This year, many renowned real-life brands chose the virtual world to launch their own collectibles.
For example, Sketchers has recently confirmed its plans to open a digital store on Decentraland. Meanwhile, the American investment bank JP Morgan opened the Onyx Lounge in February. The luxury venue can be visited in the virtual Metjuku Mall in Decentraland.
As we’re rapidly approaching the Metaverse Fashion Week, the event will likely spark even more interest for the Metaverse world.
