Decentralized Meme Coin Shiba Inu is releasing its own set of NFT Collectibles featuring 10,000 “lovable creatures” called Shiboshis.
Shiba Inu has a reputation for doing things differently. For example, Founder Ryoshi decided to lock 50% of the total supply of 1 quadrillion in Uniswap. Then, he allocated the other half to Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin’s Ethereum wallet.
Applying that trendsetter way of doing things, the project is doing a silent drop instead of hyping it up. This means that aside from the release date today, October 14, the team did not reveal the exact hour. So if you want to snatch up some Shiboshis, make sure you are glued to your screen because the drop can happen any moment now!

Shiboshis: NFT Collection of Shiba Inu ($SHIB)
Initially, the Shiba Inu NFTs will only be available on the protocol’s DEX – ShibaSwap, where buying and trading will be “completely free (except for the gas fee).” Take note that only Metamask wallets will be supported and then the first 24 hours will be exclusively for LEASH holders – one of the native tokens of the Shiba Inu ecosystem. After that time period, ETH purchases will also be available.

The first 3,000 Shiboshis will go for 0.1 ETH in the equivalent of LEASH tokens. The next 5,000 will cost 0.2 ETH, and the final will be for 0.3 ETH. To encourage fairness and avoid bots, a single wallet can only buy a maximum of 10 NFTs.
Buyers will also be able to rename their newly acquired digital art if they are willing to pay $100 in SHIB. The Shiboshis will come with generic names like 00001. Once the user renames his NFT and pays the $100 in SHIB, those funds will go into a designated wallet for burning. “If everyone names their Shiboshis, that will be a $1 million burn,” according to the statement.
Upcoming Gaming Utility
NFT Gaming is undoubtedly the leading NFT segment. The team wants a piece of the action because they have decided to pair all Shiboshi NFTs with a gaming utility.
According to the team, Shiboshis are unique and each of the properties will correspond to an attribute in the upcoming Shiboshi game. Moreover, these properties will enhance the Shiboshis’ “Base Level” in five attribute categories. For example, some Shiboshis will have the infamous Laser Eyes. Eventually, this “might give the player the ability to attack long distance.”

According to the developers, one thing the sets Shiba Inu apart from the most popular meme coin, DogeCoin, is how community-driven it is. The coin has a fervent fanbase coming from their “Shiba Inu Ecosystem,” which includes developers, coin holders, and fans, which can push the coin past Dogecoin in the future.
Moreover, memes are deeply inculcated in the digital culture. So the community has a natural affinity towards projects like Shiba Inu.
