The London based gemstone company launched its Gemfields NFT series “the Chipembele Crash”. This collection comprises six unique rhinoceros editions. Already, the NFT series is open for bidding at Opensea until 19th December.

The alliance of rhinoceros and Gemfield NFTs comes after the company’s partnership with Gubelin’s Provenance Proof supporting the initiative for environment conversation.
Additionally, the NFT collection celebrates the recent sale of their largest high-quality a 7525-carat Gemfields emerald Chimpembele.
What’s the Gemfields NFT collection about?
To begin, each unique edition of rhinoceros features emerald inclusions pictured inside Chipembele. Interestingly, each NFT avatar is inspired by a real-life rhino at North Luangwa Conversation Programming (NLCP) in Zambia.
Also, the distinct ear-notch of the animal alongside accessories give every avatar a different personality.
However, the NFT contains locked pictures of each rhino which could only be revealed to NFT owners after its purchase.

Positively, the funds raised via the NFT collection will go towards the NLCP to help critical black rhinoceros. Gemfields has also pledged its donation from the sale of the Chipembele emerald.
Sean Gilbertson, CEO of Gemfiled commented “Gemfields is excited to embrace the innovative technology in supporting conservation efforts in Africa.”
Furthermore, he added, “The Chipembele Crash NFTs are fun, unique and rooted in supporting the vital efforts of Zambia’s NLCP”
