Italian fashion brand, Diesel are dropping their “phygital” NFT wearables today in a collection titled D: Verse in their exploration of NFTs and the metaverse. They aim to break the rules between physical and digital experiences.
D: Verse NFT Collection
The D: Verse NFT collection by Diesel is due to launch today, March 12th at 6 PM CET via public sale (their pre-sale has been completed). They become the latest big fashion brand to step into the space. The NFTs allow for holders to access the Diesel NFT Community. Thus, they get the possibility to experience first-hand the next Fashion Show thanks to invitations or VIP access, and receive limited edition garments and metaverse-ready wearables.
Further, Diesel is allowing users to mint their NFTs via credit card. Users have two options of minting. First, on the Diesel NFT website using a credit card or crypto with no gas fee. Or, on Rarible, with crypto and a gas fee included. There will be a few NFTs launched: D: Prototype-CR (sneakers), D: Puffer (puffer jacket) and D: Fur (fur jacket). Each of the NFTs has utility including a Diesel IRL fashion show invite, a wearable for your metaverse avatar and a physical product for the given NFT.
The collection size is fairly small, with the D: Prototype-CR having a maximum of 555 items, D: Puffer having 55 maximum and finally, D: Fur being a 1 of 1.
Moreover, Diesel’s NFT community has grown off the back of the big-name brand that they have. Their Discord has 6,500+ members, and they don’t have a specific Twitter page for their NFT collection.
