Funko & Warner Bros’ specially minted Digital Pop! NFT will be available on Walmart.com.

About the Digital Pop! series NFT

Funko’s Digital Pop! NFT will make its debut exclusively during Walmart Collector Con. It consists of an edition of 30,000 units, which also include a physical counterpart. Collectors can claim the NFTs straight after the purchase.

This latest drop is a comic book cover, “The Brave and the Bold.”. Published by DC, the comic features team-ups of iconic DC characters. It was first released as an ongoing series in the 1950s and ran through the 1980s. It was then followed by two mini-series in 1991 and 1999. However, DC fans know it best for introducing Justice League.

Speaking on the new release, Andrew Perlmutter, Chief Executive Officer at Funko said:

“We are thrilled to bring this first-to-market opportunity to the world’s largest mass retailer. This is an opportunity to create an easy entryway for shoppers to own digital collectibles featuring fan-favourite brands and characters.”

Continuing, Josh Hackbarth, Head of NFT Commercial Development at Warner Bros, added:

“To bring this new collection of digital collectibles to retail will allow for an even broader reach and invite fans – both avid collectors and those that are entering the space for the first time – the opportunity to engage, physically and digitally, with beloved franchises, like DC.”
