Unlocking the Meaning Behind Global Esports Federation’s Symbol
Earlier this year, GEF named Ripple’s Flare Network as its Official Global Partner for Blockchain Ecosystems. So this new initiative builds upon this partnership. In fact, Flare donated one million Songbird to help global broadcast reach the entire world. This will be shared with every athlete and the team participating in the games in Singapore.
In addition, Every athlete at the Singapore 2021 Global Esports Games will receive their very own Global Esports Cup as an NFT.
GEF and Flare aim to further expand and grow the use case of emerging blockchain technologies like NFTs and Metaverse into the dynamic world of Esports.
The co-founder and CEO of Flare networks, Hugo Philion, is bullish over the crossover between Esports and blockchain. He said, “We believe that esports presents a limitless potential for blockchain applications. Together with the Global Esports Federation, we are committed to building a fair, fast, decentralized, and low carbon footprint network. Where individuals and communities can take better control of their collective futures and experiences. Interacting with each other in ways not previously possible.”
