After an apparently super weird Twitter Space, the goblintown.wtf (Goblintown) NFT collection’s floor price has risen to over 2 ETH. This is well above the 90-day average sales price of 0.45 ETH.
The Twitter Spaces
Goblintown hosted a Twitter Space last night. Some of the biggest names in the crypto and NFT space were extremely confused. Zeneca said “it’s hard enough to explain our jobs to normies. Imagine explaining goblintown. This Spaces. I can’t.” He also has owned many of these Goblins, and has admitted that he’s selling some to take profits. Champ Crypto also added “I’ve never heard something in my life like this GoblinTown space LMAO”
Finally, LooksRare, one of OpenSea’s main competitors, even tuned in saying: “ₐₐₐₐₐₐₐᵤᵤᵤᵤᵤGGGₕₕₕₕₕ”.
Unfortunately, we weren’t on the Spaces live to witness it first-hand. But, you can find a full link to the 3 hours long Twitter Spaces here.
The Spaces was just people making various goblin sounds the whole time. This must have peaked people’s interest based on the rising floor price.
The dedicated followers could be compared to those of Kevin at the time of the Pixelmon drop, however, this collection could actually be the next blue-chip according to some users.
At points, there were over 2,000 people listening to the Goblintown Twitter Spaces, which has clearly generated large amounts of hype among the NFT space. It is certainly like nothing we have ever seen before.
Goblintown, or Goblintown.wtf, is an NFT collection portraying fairly bizarre-looking goblin creatures. They’re certainly gaining a lot of hype, and an extremely close-knit, yet niche, community.
Their artwork is unexplainable. Put simply, they’re goblins. As with most NFT collections, they have different traits that make them totally unique. They are some of the strangest-looking NFTs about, but they are clearly quite cool to someone.
Interestingly, their mint was originally free. And to go from that to where they are now, particularly in a bear market, is extremely impressive.
On OpenSea, the premier marketplace for Ethereum NFTs, Goblintown has reached a strong floor price of over 2 ETH. Due to the bear market, this sits them at a USD value of just under $4000.
Now, their fans seem to have their own language, as is seen on their Twitter feed, which hosts over 23,000 followers despite only starting this month. Their text on their social media is often small text letters and big text letters, all making up strange words and sounds, like “ₐₐₐₐₐₐₐᵤᵤᵤᵤᵤGGGₕₕₕₕₕ”
