Blankos Block Party Game Guide: Everything You Should Know

Blankos Block Party is an open world multiplayer blockchain game developed by Mythical Games. And the best thing? It’s free to play! Moreover, the Mythical Marketplace, where players can buy and sell Blankos in peer-to-peer transactions for real money, is in its alpha phase and will continue rolling out to players over the coming months.

Back in June, Mythical Games raised an additional $75 Million during the Series B Funding to continue developing its game and platform. This round brings total investment to $120 Million.

So what exactly is Blankos Block Party building?

Blankos Block Party

Blankos Block Party is an open-world multiplayer experience with community custom-made game modes and maps. To illustrate, users can explore player-created games across racing, collecting and shooting modes. The game is also a social hub that lets players connect and compete with friends. Once live, it will be a free-to-play game that employs user-generated content. The tone and gaming experience is a cross-over between Roblox and Fall Guys.

The game features vinyl-style characters called Blankos. In terms of appearance, it sends off a similar vibe to Funko Pop toys. Players can buy or earn Blankos through gameplay then sell and trade them. Players can also customize the skill category. For example, they can configure it to be a “speedster” which will be great in racing games.

In the current open beta for the Blankos Block Party game, Mythical has enabled player-designed levels. Players currently hold more than 100,000 NFTs. As the game’s audience continues to grow, earlier assets and specialized releases will become more scarce and likely more valuable in the secondary market. Like we’ve previously seen, this creates rarity on a mass-market scale and provides new sources of income for players.

Development Update

Last week, Mythical Games released its third party pass called “Early Access: Hustle and Glow.” Same with Early Access, players can unlock play-to-earn NFTs by simply playing the game. Mythical Games, the game development studio, is “excited to evolve the immersive progression to add more value to your gameplay experiences.”

According to the team, they’ve spent the last few months digesting the community’s feedback and requests. There was a consensus to release more content, better playlists and more social features, so the development focused on that. To satisfy these new functionalities, Mythical Games even expanded the development team and went on a hiring spree to onboard new talents for the Blankos Block Party game.

Furthermore, they reexamined the roadmap and the long-term plans and have decided to make big changes in the coming months. This is why the next release is called Season 0 and not Season 1. The team admits, “We don’t feel like we’re quite ready yet to be at a stage where we can call our game “Season 1.”

Blankos Block Party and Designer Brands

Each Blankos character is a template. Users can layer it with design and cosmetic items. This also makes them an attractive medium for brand partnerships. So far, Blankos Block Party has attracted Burberry and Deadmau5. Not bad for the open world blockchain game that has got the NFT scene so excited.

The partnership centers on Sharky B, an NFT that can be purchased, upgraded and sold within the game’s Marketplace. The character is adorned with Burberry’s new TB Summer Monogram and inspired by the brand’s Animal Kingdom house code.

As part of the partnership, Burberry will launch its own branded in-game NFT accessories, including a jetpack, armbands and pool shoes, which players can apply to any Blanko they own. Moreover, Sharky B can be trained to master various powers, including speed and agility, ensuring both the toy’s uniqueness and rarity.

Mythical games also dropped Deadmau5 collectibles on the game. The initial sales of the two Deadmau5 NFTs sold for $240,000, with $160,000 selling the first five minutes when Professor Meowingtons Blanko sold out.  The remainder sold in under 20 minutes when the deadmau5 helmet sold out.

Since the Blankos block party game is still being developed, now’s the perfect time to join the fun. Check them out on Twitter!
