How to get Guardians of the galaxy Collectibles: Veve drops festive Groot NFTs

    By YoloDecember 24, 2021Updated:September 21, 20222 Mins Read

Guardians of Galaxy is back in the blockchain town with their Groot NFTs. Currently, these drops are available to purchase at VeVe, which is an app-based marketplace platform for digital collectables.

The collection’s launch is on 24 December at 8 am PT.

All about the new Groot NFTs.

For the uninitiated, Groot is a fictional character from the famous Marvel Comics franchise. Interestingly, these NFTs are available in the form of ‘blind boxes’. As a result, the collectable will get revealed only after its purchase.

Basically, the holiday Groot NFT collection comprises 3 editions with different rarities.

    • Merry Groot-Mas – most common rarity featuring 28,888 tokens
    • Festive Lights – the uncommon rarity with 18,888 tokens
    • Ultimate Animated – the rarest category with 9,888 tokens

However, the listing price for each rarity is $40.

VeVe described the collection in a blog post as, “Inspired by the festive and decorated trees he saw on Terra, Groot made the decision to be this year’s centrepiece of the Guardian’s holiday festivities! Wrapped in blinking lights and a cosy scarf and hat, this adorable tree is the only one you’re going to want to put presents under this holiday season.”

This is to note that the NFT comes with a licensor fee of 6% on each sale in the secondary market. Along with this, VeVe charges 2.5% as a secondary market fee. The collection is available till stocks last.

Earlier, Marvel launched several NFT series celebrating their characters. These include digital comics, Spider-Man, Captain America and Rogers.
