Hyundai Motor is officially entering the NFT space! Today, the company has released a short film introducing its NFT universe called “Metamobility Universe”. To celebrate the release of this film, the automaker is partnering with Meta Kongz to launch an NFT collection. The collection will only consist of 30 limited edition collectibles. And the drop will happen on April 20 (this Wednesday).
“We are extremely excited to introduce ‘Metamobility’ through our own NFTs and start this journey with ‘Meta Kongz’,” said Thomas Schemera, Global CMO of Hyundai Motor.

In essence, Hyundai aims to establish its own NFT community, providing its users with the brand’s experience in the metaverse. In fact, the NFT community already has its own dedicated Twitter and Discord channel. So, make sure you check them out!
Nonetheless, Hyundai revealed its NFT collaboration with Meta Kongz through a 54-second film. In the film, a Meta Kongz gorilla is seen driving in a classic Hyundai PONY from Earth to the Moon. Jumping into the sky so high, the classic PONY then transforms into a Heritage Series PONY.
This shows how mobility solutions can transcend time and space. Upon successful landing on the moon, Kongz notices that there’s a star-like object stuck on one of the car’s wipers. The film ended by teasing the upcoming drop of a shooting star-shaped NFT in May.
Aside from the exclusive drop in partnership with Meta Kongz, Hyundai will launch several NFT projects throughout the year. Moreover, the proceeds of the NFT sales will go to the project’s management and community members.
On the whole, more traditional brands are eyeing the NFT space and Hyundai will not be the only one. Anyway, Hyundai will be releasing more updates about the NFTs on their Twitter account this week. So keep an eye out!
