NHL franchise, the Washington Capitals and FTX will launch two cool NFT collections in the coming days. The first, titled Blue W Series, launches on April 10th. And the other, Crypto Canines, launches on April 12th. Both of the collections revolve around the team’s Blue W third jersey. This debuted last season and will be worn until the end of the 2022-23 season.
Blue W Series
A limited total of 16 of the Blue W series collection will be available on the Capitals’ NFT section of their website. It will begin on April 10th, and will be available until April 22nd, or whenever the NFTs sell out.
The Washington Capitals host the Boston Bruins at Capital One Arena on April 10 and will wear the Blue W jersey during the game. 15 of the Blue Series NFTs will be available for purchase at $499 each and paired with a 2021-22 Capitals team signed jersey.
In addition, one DMV NFT representing all 3 states (Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia) will be available at auction. This 1/1 NFT features a trip to a Capitals away game, including two tickets, a hotel and flights.
Crypto Canines
The second collection by the Washington Capitals and FTX is titled Crypto Canines and will launch on April 12th. It features dogs and a cat in the Blue W jersey. A total of 2,022 of the Crypto Canine collection will be available for purchase on the same website as above. Fans can purchase a single Crypto Canine at $202 and it will unpack to reveal which randomly selected NFT they have received.
The Washington Capitals’ game vs the Philadelphia Flyers on April 12th will mark NFT night, presented by FTX.
