Good news! The Illuvium NFT land sale is set to take place on the 2nd of June at 1 pm UTC. This time, there will be 20,000 plots of NFT land up for grabs through a Dutch Auction. What’s more, the minting will take place on Immutable X, a zero-gas fee, L2 scaling solution on Ethereum.
According to the team, holders of these NFT lands can earn up to 5% of the total in-game revenue from Illuvium. If you want to get one of these plots, make sure you prepare some ETH or $sILV2 during the sale. Read on to find out more!
The Illuvium NFT land sale: What you need to know
In order to reduce gas spending, the Illuvium NFT land sale will take place in batches. Every hour, 278 new plots will go on sale for 2 hours. The price will keep reducing at 2.5% per minute until someone purchases them. Given that, the entire sale will run for 3 days long in duration.
As of now, there are 5 tiers of land with different starting prices as shown below. Tier 1-4 Land is available for purchase with ETH or $sILV2, while Tier 5 Land is only purchasable with ETH. Each batch of NFT plots will come with roughly the same ratio of tiers during the sale. So you don’t have to worry about missing out on top-tier lands if you minted at a later time.
What can I do with lands in Illuvium?
To those who don’t know, NFT lands are crucial foundations in Illuvium: Zero, a separate mobile mini-game that allows players to buy land. Each land plot can generate Fuel, an important resource for transportation within the game in Illuvium.
The higher the land tier, the more Fuel the land can produce. In fact, a tier 5 land can give you a 900% boost in Fuel production as seen in the table below. On top of that, NFT landowners can also earn up to 5% of the total in-game revenue from Illuvium.
