Esports are now heavily involved in the NFT ecosystem, and Immortals is the latest esports organization to join the space. In partnership with Fetch.ai, the AI-based company, Immortals have signed a one year deal. The pair will focus on creating a new influencer campaign.
In recent months, there has been a considerable amount of partnership deals between the leading esports organizations and crypto and NFT focused companies. Moving forward, the four ambassadors of Immortals will be known as TEAM Fetch.ai. Immortals is a US-based organization that represents the Great Lakes Region.
Significantly, the members include well-known gamers, content creators and streamers. The team consists of Rift player GosuHoon, Queens Gaming Collective content creators and streamers Demisux and AvaGG, and Sheila “Pterodactylsftw’ Weidman, the popular VALORANT content creator.

Meanwhile, the four will act as brand ambassadors and use their already established online network to promote and participate in numerous engagement-driven online events. Some planned events include live streams with branded merchandise, NFTs and custom clothing.
Fetch.ai has never worked with an esports company before, so this is their first venture into the industry. The Cambridge based company has several developments ongoing. Primarily, they focus on machine learning services. It provides artificial intelligence for Blockchains.
Why is this partnership so crucial for Immortals and Fetch.ai?
Speaking about the new venture, VP of Partnerships and Activation at Immortals, Brett McGrew, stated, “As Fetch.ai enters the gaming space for the first time, we’re able to serve as an authentic platform for their brand by integrating them with our expanding influencer roster.”
In addition, he said, “We look forward to working with the Fetch.ai team to bring their brand to life through engaging activations that showcase their industry-leading technology.”
Many esports companies have partnerships in place, but this is slightly different. Most focus on NFT and Crypto integration. However, the Immortals partnership will aim to drive up engagement numbers. The partnership will focus on content creation instead.
Esports and NFTs
These are two of the fastest-growing industries globally, and the two go hand in hand. Furthermore, many prominent NFT creators and influencers started as gamers. It is a natural progression for those interested in computers and gaming. Immortals and Fetch.ai are onto something here.
Meanwhile, people are beginning to realize the true potential of NFTs. Many are looking at ways to enter the industry. It won’t be that difficult for the gaming industry.
As it stands, gamification is already a massive part of NFT culture. Axie Infinity, Splinterlands and The Sandbox 3D are the most popular.
It won’t be long before we see several esports teams that are exclusively dedicated to playing NFT games or creating metaverse related content.
Finally, as technology develops, we will see games take up a vast portion of the NFT space. Fetch.ai partnering with Immortals is beneficial to all involved.
