Crypto trading giant Coinbase has just confirmed the launch of Coinbase NFT, a marketplace dedicated exclusively to non-fungible tokens. The innovative platform aims to facilitate NFT creation and trading, putting the artists’ needs first.

Coinbase NFT: what we know so far
In a recent statement, Coinbase revealed that its brand new NFT marketplace will launch soon. Accordingly, the group believes in the future of NFTs, and how it matches their core goal of bringing freedom to dedicated artists.
Coinbase NFT will facilitate non-fungible tokens trading, allowing creators to focus on their artwork rather than its selling methods. The intuitive design and smart contracts technology will facilitate buying, auctioning, and publishing new NFTs.
According to the group, this platform will initially support ERC-1155 and ERC-721 standards. Multi-chain support will also become available, although there’s no date specified yet.
Overall, Coinbase NFT aims to create a new experience for artists worldwide, allowing them to unleash their creativity:
“Coinbase NFT will be a peer-to-peer marketplace that empowers the imagination. With an intuitive design built on top of a decentralized marketplace, it puts the art and the artist’s experience at the forefront,” the team says.

Upcoming community features
Apparently, Coinbase also wants to create an active community around the marketplace. As a result, the upcoming platform will also include social features that bring its users closer.
In essence, the new NFT marketplace will offer each user a personalized feed. In addition, users can check out each other’s collections, so they can connect with like-minded NFT enthusiasts.

With a strong community, decentralized contracts, and a user-friendly interface, the marketplace aims to expand the so-called creator economy:
“Our ambition with Coinbase NFT is to allow everyone to benefit from the creative spark; to contribute to a future where the “creator economy” isn’t a small subset of the “real” economy, but a central driver.”
