Ink Master tattoo artist Jesse Smith is venturing into the metaverse with his new NFT project. In fact, it is a multifaceted story-based project centered around the fictional continent of Carkayous.

The Idea Behind Jesse Smith’s Carkayous
According to the celebrity tattoo artist, “Carkayous was born out of the need to create more depth” within his work. Thus, Smith created the fictitious continent Carkayous where all of his inked characters can live and interact with one another.
“I had the idea kind of brewing around in my head for a while,” Jesse Smith stated. “But one of the things that kinda kicked it over the edge was when I went to Universal Studios.”
While riding the Dr. Seuss roller coaster, he recalled thinking, “I need to create a world like this.”

Jesse Smith’s NFT adventurous NFT drop
Meanwhile, Jesse Smith’s upcoming NFT project is a 10,000-piece PFP drop. In addition, it is set on Ferchett’s Island, a large island located on the southeastern side of Carkayous. Again, this NFT collection will only focus on the purple aerial creatures.
As revealed by the artist, Jesse Smith’s main goal is to continue building out Carkayous. Also, he has been working on this project for over a decade.
Smith would “eventually like to see it turned into a video game and cartoon.” Moreover, the artist suspects that Carkayous would turn out to be his lifelong project.
