Jimmy Choo is releasing a collection of NFT shoes via the Binance marketplace. The world-renowned shoe designer has announced they are entering the NFT world. This is a brave step for the luxury fashion brand, one of the first big fashion brands to join the space. Jimmy Choo has partnered with Binance marketplace to make this happen. The sale of the Jimmy Choo NFT shoes will begin at the end of October. The NFT collection is twofold. There is a collection of 8,888 mystery boxes and a one-of-a-kind sneaker auction.
Jimmy Choo NFT sneaker auction
The collaboration is the brainchild of New York artist Eric Haze, fashion curator Poggy, and Jimmy Choo Creative Director Sandra Choi. The Jimmy Choo NFT features a rotating shoe with Eric Haze’s iconic text in the background. The auction winner will receive this unique digital image alongside a limited-edition pair of sneakers. Notably, all proceeds from the sneaker auction will go to charity.
The charity selected is Women for Women International. This UK based charity helps women survivors of war rebuild their lives and has helped half a million women since 1993. Women for Women is a great cause, and hopefully, the Jimmy Choo NFT auction can raise a considerable amount for their charity. NFT charities are on the rise; find out more here.
NFT Mystery Box
The NFT collection also includes 8.888 mystery boxes. These boxes contain Love Pumps. The owners of these mystery boxes will be buying one of four different NFT, which have different rarity levels. There is the neutral JC / Eric Haze LOVE 100 Printed Canvas, of which there are 5,333.
There are 4,109 JC / Eric Haze LOVE 100 Glossy White rare cards. With only 445JC / Eric Haze LOVE 100 Glossy Black cards, they are considered super rare. Lastly, for the luckiest buyer of them all, there is the super-super rare JC / Eric Haze LOVE 100 Glitter, of which there is only one.
To win the super-super rare Jimmy Choo NFT, you will need to have a bit of luck on your side, but with the price of a mystery box costing $30, it could be worth a shot. Furthermore, the winners of the SR and SSR NFTs will receive a unique mystery NFT at a later date.
In conclusion, this Jimmy Choo NFT is a step in the right direction for the fashion brand and puts them at the forefront of the fashion NFT space. With high-end fashion brands entering the NFT space, there is, without a doubt, a massive future for these kinds of collaborations. We have already seen several fashion brands involved in NFT’s, including Dolce and Gabbana and Givenchy. Eventually, when Fashion week arrives, we may see many NFTs on display. In the long run, there will be several big-name designers that produce NFT only products. Who will be the next big brand to step into the future?
