LimeWire has announced a unique NFT collection before launching its upcoming digital collectible marketplace. Dubbed LimeWire Originals, the collection will offer holders access to “real-life” utility and events hosted by LimeWire. Furthermore, LimeWire Originals grant access to high-profile NFTs, LMWR token rewards, and exclusive merchandise.

The public drop will occur during the LimeWire marketplace’s grand release in late June. However, lucky members of the LimeWire community can participate in an exclusive community sale that has recently started. At this time, purchase options of a LimeWire Original will become available in stages through a devoted purchasing platform. However, access to this feature remains limited to members of the community.
Priced at $750 per NFT, each of the 10,000 avatars came to life based on over 500 traits and attributes. As of now, the collection will live on the Ethereum blockchain. However, the Team at LimeWire has discussed moving to additional chains in the future. According to the team, obtaining an Original grant is the highest membership level on the LimeWire platform.
In addition to exclusive drops, LimeWire Original holders will benefit from exclusive token airdrops of LMWR and limited edition clothing lines. The token distribution will be spread evenly between the 10,000 NFTs. This means that holders of more than one Original will experience increased rewards.
Now, the same logic will apply to the events hosted by LimeWire. If you have multiple NFTs, you will receive a ticket for each you hold. So, if you plan on hitting the parties with your +1, you might want to grab two. Just after launch, LimeWire will host a launch party that the team has to disclose fully. As for the LimeWire token, the utility is set for launch in Q4 of this year.
