LinkDAO’s: Ushering In A New Era in Golf
On 1/1 (New Year’s Day 2022), LinksDAO dropped the Membership NFTs available in two tiers: Leisure and Globa. The project is off to a good start because the NFTs are now completely sold out. The team sold 6363 Leisure Membership NFTs for 0.18 ETH. Meanwhile, 2727 members picked the Global Tier for 0.72 ETH.
These NFTs will allow for community access, governance, a wide variety of perks, and games in the near term. More importantly, they will be the key to unlocking membership at LinksDAO’s first golf and leisure club.
The Twitter thread announcing the news was flooded by positive messages from the community. As of press time, it has over 2900 likes! However, some members expressed some concerns over locations and future logistics. For example, user @FlashHarry09 tweeted, “I like the idea of buying a course. But where is it? If it’s in Florida and I’m in Cali how can I benefit?”
Meanwhile, some users are already imagining the Web3 touch that the golf course will have. One user suggested featuring popular NFT communities in each hole like BAYC, Doodles and Punks.
About the Benefits
Leisure Member NFT holders will have the right to purchase a membership at the 1st physical club LinksDAO acquires. They will also receive governance rights via $LINKS tokens launching in early 2022. Of course, access and discounts on golf tee times, packages, leisure products, merch and more are part of the package.
Leisure Member NFT holders will also have access to members-only Discord Channels to make things even more exciting. This will unlock IRL experiences, including guest appearances by golf, sports, business, and celebrity luminaries. Finally, they will be granted entry into the LinksDAO fantasy golf league
Meanwhile, the Global Membership NFT carries next-level benefits. For example, NFT holders will receive 4x the governance rights via $LINKS tokens. They will have the right to purchase two individual memberships or one family membership at the 1st physical club LinksDAO acquires.
In terms of IRL experiences, Global Membership NFT holders will have access to official LinksDAO IRL events such as golf outings and trips. In addition, they will have access to club reciprocity with other Global Members who opt-in to participate.
