Marvel and VeVe App Launches First Marvel Digital Comic NFT Collectibles

Now let’s talk about the Digital Comic NFT Drop
How to purchase Marvel’s Comic Book NFTs

Marvel Entertainment and VeVe App are releasing the  First Marvel Digital Comic NFT Collectibles as part of the larger initiative to celebrate ‘Marvel Month’ on the app. Comic Book and NFT fans are in for a treat because some of Marvel’s most historic comic book issues are headed to the auction block.

We’ve been following the NFT releases from the collaboration between Marvel and VeVe App. Two weeks ago, fans saw the release of Spider-Man, the first-ever Marvel NFT with all 60,500 NFTs quickly gobbled up in just 24 hours. Then last week, we reported the release of the second NFT offering from this partnership. Fans got another chance to join the fun with the release of Marvel’s inaugural Marvel Mightys series.  Exclusive to the VeVe app, Marvel Mightys also sold out in less than 30-minutes, seeing over 90,000 units flying out of the digital store.

Now let’s talk about the Digital Comic NFT Drop

This week, fans and collectors can purchase fully readable Marvel digital comics through the VeVe platform. These NFTs are prized collectibles because this is the first time that Marvel is issuing digital comic books based on its assets.

The Marvel digital comics will feature up to five cover variants associated with a different rarity (Common, Uncommon, Rare, Ultra Rare and Secret Rare). After purchasing a comic, VeVe’s built-in E-Reader will allow fans to read the digital comic in full as soon as it hits their Collection.

The first Marvel comic book ever released is coming to VeVe on Thursday, Aug. 19, at 8 a.m. PT. This fully readable digital comic, which features the first appearances of the original Human Torch and Namor, the Sub-Mariner, will be available with five variant covers in blind box format for $6.99.

    Journey Into Mystery #85 (1962)

This comic book features the first appearance of Loki, Heimdall and Asgard. This fully readable digital comic will be available on Friday, 20 Aug at 8 a.m. PT with five variant covers in blind box format for $6.99.

     Fantastic Four #1 (1961)

Fantastic 4 #1 marks the first appearance of the Fantastic Four. This piece of Marvel history is coming to VeVe on Saturday, 21 Aug at 8 a.m. PT with five variant covers in blind box format for $6.99.

How to purchase Marvel’s Comic Book NFTs

The VeVe Digital Collectibles App is available on iOS and Android. Fans can buy and collect various Marvel NFTs, trade and hunt for rare (and even secret-rare) NFT comic books and collectibles, and display their hard-earned collection through fully customizable virtual showrooms.

Take note that during high traffic periods, such as a drop, the NFT holders will only know the comic rarity after delivery of the NFTs, which may take 30–120 minutes. Then, as with all Marvel digital Collectibles, related fees will apply. Thus, there will be a 6% licensor fee to Marvel sales in the secondary market in addition to the existing VeVe 2.5% secondary market fee.

Just like the first two offerings, this NFT Drop is poised to be sold out quickly, so make sure to download, sign-up and prepare your VeVe App.
