Marvel Entertainment is back with its second officially licensed NFT digital collectible on the VeVe App: Marvel Mightys. The new line of Super-D figures adds a new spin to some of Marvel’s most iconic Super Heroes. The Collection made its exclusive debut on the app today, August 14.
Last Saturday, Marvel Entertainment’s first officially licensed NFT digital collectible based on the web-slinging Super Hero Spider-Man was released on the VeVe Digital Collectibles App. Within 24 hours, all 60,500 digital statues were sold out, showcasing the strong interest and desire for these digital collectibles.
Marvel Mightys Collectible features a variety of different Heroes who have donned the stars and stripes…and their most deadly nemesis. So it includes Steve Rogers, Sam Wilson, Bucky Barnes, John F. Walker and the Red Skull.
The first Marvel Mightys Collectible is Captain America – Series 1. Since his introduction in 1941, Steve has stood tall as the Sentinel of Liberty. Marvel and VeVe App released 28,888 Editions of this NFT available for $13.00. Just like the first offering, the auction had a huge showing after selling out in just 15 minutes! This is not surprising given Captain America’s global popularity in comics, film and collectibles.
Mechanics
Marvel added excitement to the drop today by releasing the digital figures in blind box format. This means that buyers do not know which amazing collectible they have managed to acquire until it is delivered. Once delivered, blind boxes open automatically. From that point, collectors can continue to expand your collection with additional blind boxes, or interact with other users in the Market to complete their sets.
It is worth noting that a 6% licensor fee will be applied to Marvel sales in the secondary market. Thus, with the existing VeVe 2.5% secondary market fee, the total fee for Marvel items sold in the secondary market will be 8.5%. As an example, if a Marvel collectible sells for 100 Gems in the secondary market, the seller will receive 91.5 Gems (100 Gems –8.5 Gems = 91.5 Gems)
What’s next after Marvel Mightys NFT?
If you weren’t able to participate in the first two drops, there are still plenty of chances to purchase. The release of these two Marvel NFT digital collectibles series is part of a larger initiative to celebrate ‘Marvel Month’ on the VeVe App. So Collectors can look forward to the release of other Marvel digital products. Statues, digital comic books and other digital collectibles will be available on the VeVe App later this month.
It will be such a treat for hardcore fans because future drops will include Marvel Comics #1, the first Marvel comic book released in 1939. Moreover, fans will have the opportunity to collect five different variant versions of this highly sought-after issue. According to the announcement, each version has a different cover and level of rarity. Fans and collectors can purchase them in a ‘blind box’ format for US$6.99.
Make sure you download the VeVe App so you can participate in future Marvel Mightys NFT Drop.
