NFTs of popular Marvel character, Storm, known for her major appearances in X-Men, launched on the VeVe platform. This comes as a further drop with VeVe’s long-term partnership with Marvel.
About the Storm Drop on VeVe
The drop happened yesterday, November 20th, at 8 AM PT or 4 PM UTC. As has often been published, the release was difficult to purchase for users. Whether this is due to bots on the platform or the large number of users who are increasingly going for drops.
The drop was in the now common blind box format, with different rarities, all at the same price, and you don’t know what you’re getting. The list price for all of the rarities was $50 USD. The common has 16,500 editions, uncommon had 12,500, rare: 65,00, ultra-rare: 3,650 and finally the secret rare with only 1,500 available to purchase. Currently, on the aftermarket, the floor prices range from $50.50 (common) to $1500 (secret rare).
Notably, due to the large partnership with Marvel, VeVe decided to add a 6% licensor fee to Marvel sales in the secondary market, therefore adding to their revenue.
