Toy manufacturer Micro-Games America Entertainment (MGA) is the latest to hop on the NFT bandwagon. The company has partnered with digital collectibles platform VeVe to launch L.O.L. Surprise NFTs.
L.O.L. Surprise, an award-winning brand under MGA Entertainment, offers a range of dolls for kids. Now fans of these adorable characters can collect limited-edition digital collectables on VeVe. These 3D models are animated as well as interactive, a press release noted.
L.O.L. Surprise NFTs target a younger audience
With the L.O.L Surprise NFTs, VeVe is going a step further to take NFTs to a wider audience. This is the first time that the platform is launching a collection targeting youngsters. VeVe has a growing collector base, many of whom are parents. As a result, with their new collection, the platform hopes that “families can enjoy the experience together.”
“This is a very exciting step to be partnering with the world’s largest toy brand and we look forward to offering a new and exciting way for fans to play and engage”, said VeVe Co-Founder and CEO David Yu. “With hundreds of thousands of satisfied adult fans we look forward to creating offerings for younger fans.
VeVe and MGA announced the partnership in celebration of L.O.L. Day on July 7. However, they are yet to announce a drop date.
VeVe app’s growing popularity
The VeVe Digital Collectible app is becoming a go-to place for NFT collectibles. Since December 2020, the app has crossed 350,000 downloads and has sold more than 580,000 NFT digital collectibles.
Several renowned brands have also been partnering with VeVe to launch their exclusive NFT collections. Marvel, for instance, is all set to launch its official NFTs on the platform.
