Collaborative creators Michèle Lamy and Matt Lambert released an exclusive NFT featuring their performance art piece, Infinite II. This NFT is available for a limited period of 72 hours, ending tomorrow, on entropyTV.xyz and was minted on the Zora platform. Without further ado, let’s dive in!
What is the Michèle Lamy and Matt Lambert Performance Piece?
The performance art piece, Infinite II, initially took place in Berlin, Germany, on September 9th, 2022. It was part of the Julia Stoscheck Collection and was in collaboration with the Reference Festival. With Lambert as the director and Lamy in a starring role, the performance delved deep into the concept of infinity. It encapsulates it through a ritualistic exchange of energy.
“I’ve started to realize that the magic of our collaboration is in chaos – creating a playground and letting the catharsis of the process take over”, says Michèle Lamy. “We’re always getting closer to finding our shared universe, but the best moments often come from when we make each other uncomfortable.”
The performance was accompanied by a soundtrack featuring artists such as Arca, Ryoji Ikeda, and Lavascar. This further enhances the immersive experience with the poignant words from the poetry of Etel Adnan. This digital rendition of Infinite II represents an evolution of Lambert and Lamy’s collaborative relationship, which started with Butt Muscle in 2017 and includes performances in notable venues such as Berghain and Venice.
An Evolving Narrative
Entropy, a studio working with artists, innovators, strategists, and technologists to bring their visions to life, minted the NFT, which price is 0.02 ETH.
The NFT for Infinite II not only offers ownership of a unique digital asset. It also provides access to a narrative imagined by Michèle Lamy and Matt Lambert that has been evolving over time. Infinite I, shot in 2019 and released in March 2023, is a precursor to Infinite II.
This limited-time offer began at 12pm EST on Wednesday, May 24th. It provides a unique opportunity for art enthusiasts and digital collectors alike to own a piece of this groundbreaking collaboration.
