The crypto community is in shock following Mintable founder Zach Burks’ announcement on Twitter offering to buy the Pudgy Penguins (PP) NFT project for 750 ETH.
In a tweet thread to his followers, he explained how he would transform PP if they accepted. The Mintable Twitter page is also now running the #SAVETHEPENGUINS.
This public offer responds to the recent controversy surrounding the popular NFT project, Pudgy Penguins. The penguins have a significant community following, and it is clear there is a lot of potential there.
However, they have raised several concerns about their founder and the project’s future. Many believe there is a lack of transparency from the Pudgy Penguins founder.
In fact, Twitter influencer and notable Pudgy Penguins owner @9x9x9eth also revealed that he had tried to buy the project. He even offered more to buy the project, and the founders were keen. However, they stated that conversations with the founders brought some unwelcome news.
He insists that the founders have used project funds for themselves, resulting in @9x9x9eth changing his mind about the purchase. Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see how the Mintable founder can deal with these issues.
How to make Pudgy Penguins a huge success
Zach outlines his plans to make Pudgy Penguins “the largest NFT community” in the thread.
Once he buys the PP, he intends to use Mintables extensive resources to rebuild the project, focusing on transparency and making it equitable for the community. This will go a long way as it is exactly what the Pudgy Penguins community needs.
Importantly, Mintable has several super-strong investors and industry connections. It will help them expand Pudgy Penguins in a currently impossible way. Zach stated that the intention is to “Get pudgy a licensing deal with games, we have connections with huge multi-billion dollar game studios in Asia.”
He also knows the metaverse’s importance in the coming year. He believes that Play to Earn (P2E) games could be massive for the Pudgy penguins and mobile games. Additionally, he wants to ensure all revenue is shared with a DAO to reward holders.
Expanding the PP world
Furthermore, there are talks of licensing penguins in physical shops and stores throughout Korea and Japan. Imagine if PP tied them to licensing deals with Hollywood, including movies, TV shows and books.
Building an NFT based DAO for licensing revenue and creating a token that they will airdrop to all holders that will give them access to the DAO is another aspect. Finally, the wallet containing the project’s funds will be public, controlled by the DAO holders, allowing complete transparency.
This Twitter thread is speculation unless the Pudgy Penguins NFT founders accept his proposal. It is a fascinating idea, and clearly, Zach has spent a long time considering how he can transform the project.
He will reward the community and take PP to new heights. What more could you ask for from a project founder. It is a waiting game to see if Pudgy Penguins owners want to sell, but they could do a lot worse than Zach Burks, who has some brilliant ideas.
