Australian music tech company Serenade has recently announced several high-profile new investors. Serenade launched an artist/fan-centric NFT platform last year.
Max Shand, founder of Serenade has said the mission of the platform is to “enable artists to build closer relationships with fans while creating dynamic new revenue streams.” Opposed to traditional music streaming platforms that take a major percentage of royalty fees.
Music NFTs are still in their infancy. Even Spotify has recently taking an interest in the space. NFT music interest seems to be significantly growing. Serenade and its high ticket investors are looking to capitalize on that.
2022, the Year Music of NFTs
Serenade is positioning itself for potential future growth. Former YMU Managing Director Iain Watt has recently been appointed Chairman of the Serenade Advisory Board.
An early investor in the company Iain Watt will head a group advising commercial and strategic activities. In an interview, Iain said, “I have been an enthusiastic supporter since I first met Max Shand.” He is very excited about the future of music and NFTs.
Among the new round of music industry investors is Damian Christian of Atlantic Records, and Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman, just to name a few. Serenade is looking to involve as many music industry-savvy people in their operations.
All of these investors have been very public about the opportunities in the Music NFT space. Serenade will look to keep innovating and expanding its platform. In addition, looking to capitalize on a high Web3 growth sector; Music NFTs.
