The Artvatars Genesis Sale is over but you still have a chance to score its AI-generated pieces through the new “Pure Breed” NFT Collection. Just like the Genesis pieces, all NFTs were created using AI and derived from the work of over 60 of the world’s best crypto artists.
The auction started today, August 3. It will end this Thursday at 11:00am PST | 2:00pm EST | 8:00pm CET.
The project uses an AI algorithm to generate unique Artvatars from the artworks provided by 60 of the best crypto artist in the world. Basically, the participating artists create one or two artworks. Then, the proprietary AI algorithm collects the art and splices the works into distinct components. Afterward, upon purchase, the algorithm randomly picks a part from each pool of components thereby generating rare Artvatars for each collector.
Live on OpenSea: Artvatar Pure Breed NFTs
The current Pure Breed NFTs on the auction block features the work of Plouzzaa, Fernando Pavon and Kris Hyde.
Plouzza is a 2D and 3D digital artist. His passion for creating digital art and learning new software techniques led him to create pieces for 5 NFT Marketplaces. Meanwhile, Favon, manages a SuperRare gallery where all his 69 pieces are available. Lastly, Hyde is a 3D artist and musician who entered the crypto space way back in 2018. His horror-themed, SciFi, Space and audiovisual pieces are available on Makersplace.
Reception So Far
The current floor price on OpenSea is 1.6 ETH or $4,000 and can potentially rise even more in the next 2 days of the auction.
The project just launched in April but it brings an air of familiarity to the space. It’s easy to connect Artvatars to popular collectible Hashmask which also combines the work of different artists. This character-based project is actually a good precedent because during the hype in February, some Hasmasks sold for over $1 Million. Early NFT Collectors even refer to it as the project that spawned hype in digital collectibles. However, CryptoPunks is still considered king.
The window to buy is closing in so make sure you check out the listing on OpenSea if you want to snatch some Artvatars.
