CREYZIES, the official mfers companion collection, was just airdropped to all mfers NFT holders. The surprise airdrop is the result of the collaboration between Rey, sartoshi, and West Coast NFT. There are 9.9k available CREYZIES, which have a floor price of 0.48 ETH and a trading volume of 847 ETH at the time of writing.
CREYZIES NFT Collection
First things first, let’s get to know the awesome artist behind these insane artworks. Pablo Esteban Sánchez Rijlaarsdam, or Rey, is from Mexico City and has been in the NFT space for over a year now. Prior to that, the 34-year-old has been exhibiting his art through countless exhibitions, art fairs, and auctions.
CREYZIES are to mfers, just as BEANZ are to Azukis, or as BAKCs are to BAYCs. Companion NFTs represents one of the best surprises any NFT holder can dream of. Basically, holding 1 NFT entitles you to another piece for free. This is especially true when the companion NFTs are unique in their own way, introducing a whole new dimension to the original collection.
Rey and sartoshi started working on this idea in January 2022, turning simple sketches into a full collection for the mfers community. The CREYZIES collection has the same mfers categories: Plain, Charcoal, Ape, Alien and the 21 special 1/1s. According to the artist, he was not paid to create the collection, and that sartoshi covered all the airdrop costs. Ultimately, there will only be the secondary sales royalty, which is as low as 2.5%.
In addition to running the OpenSea and Twitter accounts, Rey is also working on the project’s verification process. This is to reduce the negative implications of imitations or scams that are so rampant in the space. Moving forward, the mfers/CREYZIES universe will definitely continue to grow.
