The NFL’s answer to NBA Top Shot officially has a name: NFL All Day. Dapper Labs, the company behind Top Shot has announced the name of its new sports NFT collectibles series in partnership with the NFL. The well-timed announcement comes as the league gets ready to play its traditional Thanksgiving Day games.

Dapper Labs Looks To Repeat Top Shot Success with NFL All Day
The NFL and Dapper Labs announced the joint effort last month. Similarly to the NBA Top Shot series, Dapper Labs will host the collection on its Flow Blockchain. Evidently, All Day will follow the same formula as Top Shot. In other words, fans will be able to purchase “sets” that contain a number of highlights from games, known as “moments”.
Significantly, fans do not know which particular moments are in the sets until after they buy them. There are three tiers of sets. To list, they are “Base”, “Locked In” and “Iconic”. The Iconic sets are the most rare and the Base sets are the least rare. Fans can then trade individual moments on the Dapper Labs platform.

Although the launch date for the NFL collection is still unknown, the name announcement suggests that it will be coming soon. What’s more the website for the series recently updated to include an option for fans to join a waitlist for the NFTs.
Without a doubt, the NFL was slow to adopt NFTs in contrast to the other major American sports leagues. Surprisingly – or not, depending on your conviction in NFTs – the league has quickly changed its tune. As a matter of fact, this is the second NFT partnership the league has recently announced. Indeed it will also sell NFT tickets for select games on Ticketmaster’s NFT marketplace.
