OKX launches NFT Football Cup
On November 20th, The World Cup 2022 Qatar begins, and the world will be watching. To celebrate the iconic tournament, OKX, the cryptocurrency exchange, has created a unique event, called the OKX Football Festival. This includes an NFT game, a trading competition, and special staking deals on the platform. The overall prize pool for this football event is $3 million!
The NFT Football Cup is free to join and rewards users for supporting their favorite national teams. However, it is essential to note that users must stake 10 USDT per NFT, but these funds will be returned following the end of the tournament.
Haider Rafique, Chief Marketing Officer, OKX, said: “OKX is here to help people find new and innovative ways to celebrate their passions. As we raise our flags in support of our national teams this year, I hope these digital experiences help bring the crypto and football communities together and show newcomers the world of opportunities Web3 and crypto can offer them”
How does the NFT game work?
The FIFA World Cup tournament consists of group stages and knockout rounds. From November 8th, people can sign up to choose three free NFTs of the teams they want to support.
Football Cup NFT holders will receive split spot rewards of 20 USDT for progression through the group stage. Following this, NFT holders will go head to head with teams facing each other in the knockout format. The eliminated team will have their prize pools transferred to the team that knocks them out.
